Credits: 8,344 ![]() | I am thinking about going from my 42`s to 60 pound injectors, what is the difference in injectors that are flow matched and ones that are not? I know I will have to get a new harness and tuned again. Will the stock fuel pump supply enough fuel to supply the 60`s? With my current mods what gains can I expect? I know every car is different, but what are the average gains? Just a few questions I had before I jump into this.

Credits: 4,597 ![]() | This is my personal experience with 60s I hope this helps clarify your question. When we tuned my car I was running a 2.9 with 42s. Reading the wideband everything was at 11.5 on the dot give or take .2 until about 5,000 rpms when it started raising to around 12.0 before we stopped on the dyno. The IDCs went almost to 130% and the car started cutting out. We ordered flowmatched 60s ( where they are measured to make sure the same amount of fuel is coming out of each injector at different peramiters ) and installed them. Now I was able to go to redline and stay at 11.5 a/f. Now I didnt gain any HP from them since they are not a horsepower mod such as say a smaller pulley or larger exhaust. BUT they allow you to use what mods you have all the way up to redline. They allow you to add more fuel provided you can add more air such as utilizing a smaller pulley. therefore you can tune more a/f settings and that is how you "build" more power with them. Hope this helped you some! And as far as the ported s/c and 60s. Id want to find out who ported it first and why hes trying to unload it on you for stock. |

Credits: 8,344 ![]() | The guy who tuned my car ported & polished it, he has done several out here so I know its done right, the reason the guy wants to trade is because he is trading his SS/SC in on a SS/TC so he has to put it back to stock or in this case GM Stage II. Thanks for the info!
