Removing a spoiler?

Alright so heres the deal, I am coming to you (youse) guys once again for help and guidance

So I have the SS wing on my trunk, thing is I am sick of staring at it. No one local wants to swap for wingless, cheapest wingless trunk I can find at a junker is $275 all the way out in Worcester and the guy wont do a swap with me (COCKBAG!!!!!).

So what are my options with removing the stupid spoiler from the trunk? I know it would leave holes, are these easy to fill? Something tells me it will not be easy or else more people would do it....

You have a couple options really. There are some companies that make plugs for spoiler holes. You can usually get them in a variety of colors. They are the best looking option but they work or atleast work until you get it done correctly. For the life of me I can't remember the name of the place that makes them though so sorry about that.

The best option is to have it professionally done at a body shop (or you could do it yourself maybe if you have experience or are brave). It's a simple process really. You simply weld a piece of metal into the holes, grind it flush, use some filler to fill in the smaller pits, sand, prime, paint, and clear. Obviously the best bet here is to redo the whole trunk and not just the spots around the holes.

It's not really an at home process but it can be a DIY project.

Gotta do what ya gotta do. It's great but sometimes it's hard finding parts tho. I pretty much pieced together my old car with parts from eBay...gotta love it!

Lol, hey, whatever works!!

You can find some really good deals sometimes on eBay too. I'd say check there if all else fails.

Yeah I think rather than do all that I am just going to buy the wingless trunk they have for sale in Worcester. I am not gonna get a better deal than the $275.00 they want unless I spend the next 4 months browsing ebay and cobalt sites.

With any luck I can sell this SS wing trunk and make up at least $200.00 of that.

yeah i was going to say your best bet is to sell the trunk with the wing and then buy the other one.
